Stitchcombe Mill

Stitchcombe Mill is, as you'd guess, an old mill. It's from the 18th century and it's detached. The river's right there next to the garden, which is quiet and just for you.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms, so that helps with a bigger group. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included.

You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is fenced but because of the river, you'll need to keep an eye on them.

The kitchen is modern and has everything you'd need. The bedrooms are a good size. The living room looks out over the garden and the river.

You're in a hamlet, so it's quiet. There's a pub about a mile away that does food. The nearest shop is in Marlborough, which is two miles. It's a proper market town with supermarkets and shops.

For things to do, you're well placed. Avebury and its stone circle is 20 minutes away. It's good, and you can just walk around it. The Ridgeway is right there if you want a walk. Savernake Forest is close by for a shorter stroll.

Within about half an hour you can get to places like the White Horse at Uffington, or into Swindon for the outlet shopping. Further out, but still under an hour, you've got Bath, Stonehenge, and Longleat.
