The Weaning Shed is in Huggate. It's on the edge of the village. The property itself is a barn conversion. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms upstairs and one main bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating.
The kitchen, living and dining area are all open plan. There's a wood burner. The back of the house looks out over a paddock. You're welcome to use it. The garden is decent sized and enclosed, which is good if you have dogs. We take up to two.
The stairs are a typical barn conversion style, so they're quite steep.
It's warm. The heating comes from a ground source heat pump and there are solar panels. There's an electric vehicle charger on the drive.
The local pub is about 200 yards down the lane. They do food. The nearest shop is in Pocklington, about seven miles away.
The village is high up on the Yorkshire Wolds, so the views are good. There's walking straight from the door. Millington Pastures and Woods are close by for that.
If you drive, you can get to quite a lot within half an hour. Pocklington has Burnby Hall Gardens. Beverley is a nice market town. York is about thirty minutes. The coast at places like Bridlington is within reach too.
For days out further afield, you've got places like the Yorkshire Air Museum, Burton Agnes Hall, or Sledmere House.
In terms of stuff here: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, Wi-Fi, parking, a games room in a separate outbuilding, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
