Lockside Lower Flat
Lockside Lower Flat is in Fort Augustus. It's on the main street, right by the Caledonian Canal locks. You watch the boats go up and down from the living room window.
It sleeps five. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star property, so it's clean and comfortable. It's an old building so the floors can be a bit uneven in places. That's normal.
You're right in the middle of the village. There's a pub about twenty yards away and a shop about the same distance. They're both handy. The flat is one of a pair, but you have your own front door.
Fort Augustus is at the south end of Loch Ness. You can walk down to the loch in a few minutes. Lots of people do boat trips from here, or you can just wander along the shore.
You're on the Great Glen Way walking route, so it's good for walkers. For a day out, Fort William is about forty minutes south. Inverness is about an hour north. Skye is a good drive, maybe two hours plus. You need a car.
In the flat there's a wood burning stove, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a parking space. You can bring one dog.
