Sunset Song is a cottage in Arbuthnott. It's part of the Old School building, which has been split into three cottages. Mine is one of them. It sleeps five. Two of the bedrooms are doubles, one is a single. There's one bathroom, downstairs.
The kitchen is normal, it's got a dishwasher and a washing machine. The living room is fine for five people. The garden is yours to use. There's parking right outside.
It's a 3 Star place. That means it's clean and comfortable, not luxury. It's a good base. The wifi works.
You're out in the country here. The nearest shop and pub are in Inverbervie, about three and a half miles away. It's a drive for a pint of milk. The beach there is shingle, good for walks. The coast is about ten minutes by car.
Stonehaven is about nine miles. That's a proper town with shops and an outdoor heated swimming pool. Dunnottar Castle is just outside Stonehaven. It's very dramatic, right on the cliffs. The National Trust for Scotland looks after it, so you can check opening times on their site: NTS Dunnottar Castle.
Montrose is 13 miles south. Good sandy beach there. If you want to go inland, you're not far from Royal Deeside and the Cairngorms. Aberdeen is about a 40-minute drive.
Up to two dogs are welcome. We provide bedding and towels. There's a highchair if you need one.
This cottage can be booked with the others here if you've got a bigger group. Sunset Song, Grey Granite, Cloud Howe, and Garden Cottage together sleep 24.
