This is Lucklaw Steading Cottage. It's on our farm in Logie, Fife. You're in central Scotland here, about halfway between Dundee and St Andrews.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's all on one level. We've given it a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and properly equipped. You get your own front door, but it is a wing of our main house. We're next door if you need anything.
The access is up our farm track. It's steep and gravel, so take it slow when you arrive. The view from the main window is the best bit. You look right over the fields to St Andrews Bay. On a clear day you can see the town.
Inside, it's open plan. There's an Aga in the kitchen for warmth, plus a standard electric cooker. The utility room with the washing machine is shared with us. We'll show you where it is.
You can bring two dogs. The garden is yours to use and we have two acres of land here. There are woods and a hill right behind the steading for walks. You'll see deer and plenty of birds.
St Andrews is about a fifteen minute drive. That's where the Old Course is, the castle ruins, and the beach. For other golf courses, the St Andrews Links site has all the details. Cupar is closer, maybe ten minutes. It's a proper market town with shops and places to eat.
If you want a big day out, Dundee is over the Tay Bridge. The V&A museum is there on the waterfront. For nature, Tentsmuir Forest and beach are about twenty minutes away. The coastal path through the East Neuk fishing villages is good for a long walk. National Trust for Scotland Fife Coast has some route ideas.
What's here: bedding and towels are provided. There's a cot and a highchair. WiFi, TV, dishwasher, parking. The garden has furniture. We include the electricity.
