This is Lucklaw Steading Cottage. It's in Logie, in Fife. The place is part of a converted 18th century farm steading. It's our home, but your wing of it is self-contained and private.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. You get the use of our two acre garden and grounds. The drive up to it is gravel and quite steep, just so you know.
Inside, it's all on one level. The main room is open plan. There's an Aga in the kitchen for cooking, plus a standard electric oven as well. The window seat looks out over the fields towards St Andrews Bay. You can see the town from there. The utility room with the washing machine and tumble dryer is shared with us, but we'll leave you to it.
St Andrews is about a 15 minute drive. It's handy if you're visiting the university. The famous Old Course and the other links courses are there. The town has the castle and cathedral ruins, beaches, and a decent high street. For local walks and nature, the NatureScot website is good for maps.
You're well placed for exploring Fife. The East Neuk fishing villages like Anstruther and Crail are within half an hour. Tentsmuir Forest and its beach are about a 20 minute drive. Cupar is the nearest proper town for shops. Dundee is over the Tay Bridge, maybe 40 minutes. The V&A museum there is worth a trip.
In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine and dryer in the shared utility room, a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. We accept up to two well-behaved dogs.
