Yew Tree Cottage is in Passfield in Hampshire. It's detached, so no neighbours through the walls. You're down a little unmade lane, about a hundred yards from the main road. It feels tucked away. Out the front, across the lane, there's miles of National Trust heath and woods. Good for walks right from the door.
It sleeps three, with three bedrooms. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating. Cosy, clean, everything works. The stairs are worth mentioning: they're open, steep, and a bit narrow. Just take your time on them.
The garden is yours to use. There's a wood burning stove, which is nice in the colder months. Washing machine, TV, parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
There's a shop about five minutes walk away. The pub is about the same distance.
For days out, there's a lot within half an hour. Jane Austen's House at Chawton is down near Alton. The Mid-Hants Railway, that's the Watercress Line, runs steam trains. The Weald and Downland Living Museum is near Chichester, which is also good. Winchester is about a forty minute drive.
