The Hayloft is out near Braehead in Lanarkshire. It's on our smallholding, next to our house. The building's old, it used to be part of the farm. You can see Tinto Hill from the garden.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, with a wood burning stove for the evenings. It's all on one level, which is handy. The kitchen has a dishwasher and there's a washing machine.
You've got your own patio area with a table and chairs. The parking is right outside.
The nearest shop and pub are about three miles away in the village. Lanark is six miles. That's where you'll find New Lanark, which is a World Heritage Site. The Falls of Clyde walks are there too. The Corehouse Nature Reserve is good for a stroll.
Biggar is about eleven miles. It's a nice wee town with some interesting shops and places to eat.
If you're driving, Edinburgh and Glasgow are both about a half hour away. For local walks or cycling, you can just head out from the cottage. The Clyde Valley is close by.
Facilities are all there: bedding and towels are included, there's WiFi and a TV. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid, because of the farm animals.
For planning days out, the National Trust for Scotland page for New Lanark is useful.
