Bayview is my place in Carradale. It's a detached house at the top of the village. You get a clear view from the front over the golf course to the water. It's the sea, but it's called the Kilbrannan Sound.
The house sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's been renovated, so things like the kitchen and bathrooms are fresh.
You're right in the village. The local pub and hotel, which does food, is about a minute's walk down the road. There's a shop half a mile away. The harbour and the main beach are a slightly longer walk, maybe ten or fifteen minutes.
Carradale itself is quiet. There are forest trails right from the doorstep, good for walks or cycling. You can hire bikes in the village. The golf course is just over the road if that's your thing.
If you drive, there's a lot to see. The whole Kintyre peninsula is out there. You can get the ferry from Kennacraig, about half an hour away, over to Islay or Jura. The ferry to Arran is from Claonaig, which is closer. For a day out, Robert the Bruce Castle is worth a look.
Things here: it has a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included, and there's parking for a couple of cars on the drive.
