Tower Cottage is in Black Heddon. It's detached and sits in the grounds of Bitchfield Tower, which is a 15th-century pele tower. You get to use about six acres of grounds, which includes a tennis court and a trout lake.
The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.
It's very quiet here. You're surrounded by fields. The nearest shop and pub are about three miles away in Ponteland. There's a good choice of places to eat there.
For a day out, you're close to a lot. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about half an hour's drive. The Northumberland coast, like Craster and Alnmouth, is within 30 minutes. Newcastle city centre is about 20 minutes away if you want that.
The place has a wood-burning stove, which is good for chilly evenings. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a private garden with a barbecue, and parking right outside.
