This is Bydand. It’s a bungalow in Walkerburn in the Scottish Borders, right on the side of the River Tweed. You get a clear view across the water to the hills. The garden is a good size and it's enclosed.
It sleeps four in three bedrooms. There’s one bathroom with a shower. We’re rated 3 Star, so it’s comfortable and clean but not luxurious. Because it’s a bungalow, there are no stairs to worry about.
The place faces south, so you get the sun. The garden wraps around it. You can walk straight from the door along the river path or up into the hills. There's a kids' play park just up the road, about 150 metres away.
The village has a small shop that’s also the Post Office, and there’s a coffee shop. The local pub is fine. There are no electric car charging points in the village or at the property, and nowhere to charge an e-bike locally.
Innerleithen and Peebles are close by. They’ve got restaurants and shops. For activities, Glentress and Innerleithen have mountain biking trails, and the Go Ape course is at Glentress too. Traquair House is nearby, and Kailzie Gardens. Dawyck Botanic Garden is a bit further but worth the drive.
Edinburgh is about an hour north if you fancy a day trip.
For facilities, you’ve got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
