Bydand is a bungalow in Walkerburn. It's right by the River Tweed, so you look straight out at the water and the hills. The view is good, and the garden gets the sun. It's enclosed, so it's safe for dogs or kids.
The place sleeps four. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star property, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. Because it's a bungalow, all the rooms are on one level. There are no stairs.
The village is small. There's a post office that does a few basic groceries and a coffee shop. The nearest proper shop is in Innerleithen, about four miles away. There's a pub too. There's a kids' play park just down the road.
You can walk along the river from the gate. For bigger walks, you can go straight up into the hills. For mountain biking, Glentress and Innerleithen are very close. The Go Ape course is at Glentress as well.
If you want to visit places, Traquair House is nearby. Peebles is about six miles away for more shops and places to eat. Edinburgh is an hour's drive if you fancy a day in the city.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. You can bring up to two dogs. There's no electric car charging point here or in the village, and nowhere to charge an e-bike.
