The Bothy
The Bothy is on our farm in Walkerburn. It's a terrace cottage. Sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The front door opens straight into the main room. It's all open plan, kitchen at one end, living area at the other. It's a good size for two people. The bathroom is off that room.
You're welcome to bring one dog. We've also got a separate dog bedroom outside if your dog prefers that, or kennels. We're a working farm, sheep mostly, over about 200 acres.
We do horse livery here too. If you're bringing a horse, we can do bed and bale. We can also arrange horse hire and hacks if you want to ride.
The River Tweed is a couple of minutes' walk down the track. Good for fishing and walks. For mountain bikers, 'The Golfie' trail is next to the farm and 'Feed the Pony' runs through it.
Peebles is about a ten minute drive. It's a proper town with shops and places to eat. For a day out, you can get to Edinburgh in under an hour. The national park authority site has good walking information.
Facilities: TV, wifi, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. The shower has grab rails.
