The Bothy is in Walkerburn, which is a small village just outside Peebles. It's a terrace cottage, part of a farm steading. It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The place is open plan downstairs, so the kitchen, dining area, and living area are all in one room. It's a good size for two people. Upstairs is the bedroom and the bathroom. The bed's a double.
You're right next to Caberston Farm, which is a working sheep farm. They also do horse livery and forestry. The farm covers about 200 acres. If you have a dog, you can bring one. They can stay in the cottage, or there's a laundry room next door they can use, or there are outdoor kennels. If you have a horse, you can arrange stable space. They call it 'Bed and Bale'.
There's a shared laundry room next to the cottage you can use if you need it.
For walking, you're minutes from the River Tweed. The area is known for salmon fishing. For mountain biking, two well-known trails are right nearby. 'The Golfie' is next to the farm land, and 'Feed the Pony' actually goes through it.
Peebles is about a ten-minute drive. It's a proper town with shops, places to eat, and a leisure centre. For a longer day out, Edinburgh is under an hour's drive. The Borders Abbey Way is close if you like historic sites.
In terms of what's here, there's a TV, WiFi, parking right outside, and all the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The shower has grab rails.
