Franks

It's called Franks. It's in Bornesketaig, up near the top of Skye. A white crofter's cottage, detached. You look out over fields to the sea.

It's been done up. It sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable. Underfloor heating, wood burner. They've put in a proper music system and the telly has Netflix.

The garden is enclosed. There's parking right there.

You can walk down to Camus Mor bay in a few minutes. It's sheltered. Good for putting a kayak in. We see seals there often. The sunsets from there are something else.

It's a quiet spot. The nearest shop and pub are in Uig, about six miles. Uig has the ferry over to the Outer Hebrides. There's a brewery there too.

For things to do, the Quiraing and the Old Man of Storr are close by for walking. The Walkhighlands page for the Quiraing has good route details. The Whitewave Activity Centre isn't far if you want organised stuff like climbing. Portree is half an hour's drive for more shops and boat trips.

Inside, it's got what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, a cot and highchair if required. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.

If you're planning ahead, the Isle of Skye website is useful. For history, the National Trust for Scotland page on the Faerie Glen covers that.
