Beith

This is Beith. It's a cottage in Hungladder, which is on the north end of Skye. It’s semi-detached, you’ve got your own bit of garden. The main thing is the view. You look straight out over The Minch to Harris and Lewis. You can see the Shiants Islands too on a clear day.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and well looked after. It feels quite spacious inside.

You’re right on the coast here. The beach is about a mile down the road. For supplies, the shop, pub, and a couple of restaurants are about six miles away in Uig. That’s also where the ferry goes over to the Outer Hebrides. You can get a day trip to Harris or the Uists from there. There are local boat trips too, for spotting puffins and whales.

Stuff to do nearby: the Faerie Glen is a strange, bumpy landscape, good for a wander with kids. The Quiraing is just along the road for serious walks. The Old Man of Storr isn’t far either. If you’re interested in how the island was formed, the Staffin Museum has fossils. Duntulm Castle is a ruin right on the cliffs. For more active things, the Whitewave Centre does kayaking, climbing, that sort of thing.

Inside, it’s got what you need: a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking right outside. No pets, sorry.
