Pleasant Place

Pleasant Place is on the edge of Kegworth village. It's a three-storey terrace cottage, so it's tall and thin.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The bathroom has both a bath and a separate shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are quite steep, just so you know.

There's a kitchen and a separate living room, and the garden is fully enclosed. It's a good size for a cottage, with a lawn and a patio area.

In Kegworth itself, there are a couple of pubs and a shop. It's quiet. For a bigger shop, you'd go to the nearby retail park or into Derby.

Donington Park is about a ten minute drive. They have race days and events. For a walk, Staunton Harold Reservoir is nice. It's run by the National Trust and is about 15 minutes away by car.

You can get to a few places in under half an hour. Derby centre is about 20 minutes. Nottingham is about 25 minutes. East Midlands Airport is literally five minutes down the road, so you do hear planes, but it's not constant.

Further out, within about 50 minutes, you've got Leicester. Bradgate Park up there is good for a walk and to see the deer. The Peak District boundary is about 40 minutes west.

Facilities: it's got the usual things like a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to three pets.
