Belt Annexe is the one at the back of our place in Writtle. It sleeps three in one bedroom and has its own bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well kitted out.
You've got your own front door. Inside, the ceilings are high so it feels more spacious than you might expect. The main room has a sofa, TV, a small kitchen area, and a table. There are large windows looking out onto the garden and the woods. We see foxes and pheasants out there, and sometimes deer in the field beyond.
The bedroom has a double bed and air conditioning. The bathroom is a wet room, so it's all one level. That's handy.
Outside, there's a private patio area with a table and chairs. You can sit out there. Further down the garden there's a hot tub you're welcome to use.
Location wise, you're on the edge of the village. It's quiet. There's a shop and a couple of pubs in Writtle, about a ten minute walk. Hylands Park is literally just up the road, you can walk there in a few minutes. It's a big park with a house, woods, and sometimes events. They have a Go Ape there too.
Chelmsford is about a ten minute drive if you need shops or the cinema. Trains from Chelmsford to London take about 35 minutes. For days out, Visit Essex has good ideas. The National Trust has a few places within half an hour, like Audley End House.
In terms of what's here, we include bedding and towels. There's parking right outside. WiFi works. No pets, sorry.
