Darroch
It's called Darroch. It's just on the edge of Moniaive in Dumfriesshire. The village is small, there's a couple of shops and a pub. It's quiet.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's all on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, nothing too fancy. The picture window in the living room looks out over the fields. There's a wood burner. You'll need to bring your own wood or buy it locally.
The kitchen has what you need. There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a garden with a seating area out the front.
Moniaive has a bit going on sometimes, like village events or markets. It's a good base for walking or cycling. The Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour's drive. It's good for stargazing if you're into that.
Drumlanrig Castle is about a 25 minute drive. The Solway Coast
