Bear House Burrough End

Bear House is one of three cabins here at Piggles Retreat, in Burrough End. It's the biggest one, for two people. It's detached and set in its own bit of the garden.

It's a 4 Star place. That means it's quite nice inside, modern and clean. The bed is comfortable. There's a shower room and a separate toilet. The kitchen and living area are all one room. You get a TV. The hot tub is on the deck outside.

The cabin looks out over the lake. You can use the rowing boats on it. There's also a putting green and a badminton court on the grounds. The lighting around the paths comes on at night.

Cambridge is about a 25 minute drive. You can go see the colleges, or go punting on the river. The Wicken Fen nature reserve is closer, maybe 15 minutes away. Newmarket, for the horse racing, is about half an hour's drive. If you really fancied the coast, Felixstowe is just over an hour.

For facilities: bedding and towels are included, there's parking right by the cabin, and there's a BBQ. No pets allowed. The other two cabins, Lion House and Beavers, can be booked together with this one if you're a bigger group.
