Gleneffock Farmhouse
Gleneffock Farmhouse is just outside Bridgend in Angus. It's a detached house, so no neighbours attached. The garden is big, mostly lawn, and it's very quiet.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms upstairs, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped, not just basic. There's a woodburning stove in the living room. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine.
You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. Plenty of parking.
The house is on the edge of Dalhousie Estate. You can walk straight out onto estate paths from the garden gate. Good for dogs or just a stroll.
For a day out, Glamis Castle is about a 20 minute drive. It's the proper Scottish castle experience. Brechin is closer, maybe 10 minutes, for shops and Brechin Cathedral. The coast at Arbroath or Montrose is roughly half an hour. The cliffs at Arbroath are good for a walk.
Golf at Carnoustie is world famous and is about 25 minutes by car. Local fishing is available on the River South Esk, a short drive away.
