Huntspill Cottage is ours. It's in Holbeach Bank, which is a small village just outside of Holbeach in Lincolnshire. It's a detached stone cottage, originally built in the 1800s.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, both doubles. Both have their own bathrooms, one is an en-suite to the main bedroom. There's also a third bathroom downstairs with a bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. We've tried to keep the original feel but make it comfortable, so there's a wood burner in the living room and USB points by the beds. The stairs are the original cottage stairs, so they turn a corner and are a bit steep.
The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher and washing machine. Doors lead out to the back garden. It's enclosed, with a patio and a bit of lawn. It looks out over the fields. You get good sun in the afternoon.
Holbeach town is about two miles away. It has shops, a couple of pubs that do food, and cafes. For a bigger town, Spalding is about a 20-minute drive. It's a market town. The nearest coast is around Sutton-on-Sea or Hunstanton, which is about a 40-minute drive.
There are plenty of flat walks and cycle routes straight from the door, because it's the Fens. You don't need to drive to get straight into the countryside. If you like golf, there's a course at Toft Hotel, about 15 minutes away.
Facilities wise: all bedding and towels are included. There's parking for two cars on the drive. WiFi and all electricity are included. No pets, sorry.
