Waterloo Sunset

Waterloo Sunset is in Crosby. It's a two-bedroom terrace house, sleeps four. You've got two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not huge.

The back is a small, walled courtyard. It's enclosed, so it's fine for a dog or if you've got kids with you.

Inside, there's a living room with one of those gas stoves that looks like a wood burner. It heats the room up quickly. The kitchen has what you need. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher.

The stairs are in the description. They're steep and a bit narrow. Just so you know.

You can walk to Crosby Beach in about fifteen minutes. That's where the Antony Gormley Iron Men statues are, out on the sand. It's a good walk, even when it's windy. The beach is part of the Sefton Coastal Path if you want to go further. The sunsets can be really good from there.

There are a few pubs, cafes, and places to eat within a few minutes' walk. Waterloo train station is close. The train into Liverpool city centre is direct and takes about twenty minutes.

If you want a sandy beach for swimming, Formby is about a twenty-minute drive up the coast. They've got the dunes and the red squirrel reserve there too.

Liverpool is the main draw for most people. Beyond the obvious Beatles things, the waterfront is good for a walk, and the two cathedrals are worth seeing. If you're into football, Anfield and Goodison Park are both there, but you'd need to book a tour or match tickets well ahead.

For a different day out, you can get the ferry from Liverpool across the Mersey to Seacombe. The National Trust at Formby is useful if you're planning a beach day, and the Visit Liverpool site has listings for events.

Facilities are all as listed. Bedding and towels are included. We allow one well-behaved dog.
