The Hive
The Hive is a one-bedroom apartment in Newcastle, near the Quayside. It sleeps two and has a 4 Star rating. It's a ground floor flat in a modern building. You can use the stairs or the lift.
The main thing is the balcony. It looks straight out over the River Tyne towards the Glass House and the bridges. It's a good spot to sit with a cup of tea in the morning. The living area has doors out to it.
Inside, it's been done up recently. There's a leather sofa, a TV, and a modern kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. The bed is comfortable with decent linen. There's one bathroom with a bath.
You get one private parking space, which is handy. There's also bike storage if you need it.
It's in a quiet residential bit, so it's not for parties. Just a place to come back to. You can walk to the Quayside in a few minutes. All the bars and restaurants there are on your doorstep. The Baltic art centre and the Sage music venue are a short walk away too.
If you want to head out, Tynemouth and the coast are about nine miles away. You can drive or get the Metro. Northumberland is within easy reach for a day out. Alnwick Castle and the beaches up there are about a 40-minute drive.
Everything you need is included: bedding, towels, WiFi, and the electricity. It's a straightforward place to base yourself.
