Wellgate Middlesmoor

Wellgate is in Middlesmoor, which is high up in Nidderdale. It's a stone semi-detached cottage from the 1850s. It sleeps two people.

There are two bedrooms upstairs, both doubles. One has an ensuite shower room, and there's a second bathroom with a shower downstairs. The stairs are steep and a bit narrow, which is normal for a place this old.

Downstairs is one open room. The kitchen is at one end. It's got what you need. The sitting area has a wood burner. It's nice to have on in the evening. The WiFi is okay but can be slow, it's the countryside.

Out the front is a small bench. The view from there is the main thing. It looks straight out over the valley.

The pub is a minute's walk away. It's a proper local pub. They do food and have local beer.

For walks, you can start right from the door. The road down to the valley is steep, so be ready for that. Pateley Bridge is about seven miles away for shops and cafes. It's a nice drive down.

If you want to see the big sights, Fountains Abbey is about a 40-minute drive. Brimham Rocks is about half an hour. Masham, where the breweries are, is 10 miles.

The facilities are all included. There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are provided. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking for one car on the street outside.
