Rose Cottage is in Lofthouse, a small village on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. It's a stone-built semi-detached place. There are a couple of neighbours but it's quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs. One has a kingsize bed and a walk-in wardrobe. The other has bunk beds, which are a good size for kids but a bit tight for adults. One bathroom with a bath and a shower over it.
The stairs are typical cottage stairs. They're not spiral, but they are steep. You get used to them.
Downstairs there's a living room with a wood burner. It's got a Smart TV, books, and games. The kitchen is through an archway. It's got what you need: dishwasher, washing machine, a small fridge-freezer, and a Tassimo coffee maker. There's a corner booth to eat at.
Outside, to the side, there's a small terraced area with a table and chairs and a bit of space for a barbecue. It gets the sun in the evening. It's shared with the neighbours, but it's arranged so you have your own defined bit.
The pub is about 150 yards down the road. They do food. The nearest shop for basics is about eight miles away in Pateley Bridge, so you'll want to bring supplies.
You're right in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Cote de Lofthouse, which is a famous cycling hill climb, starts right behind the cottage. For walking, Gouthwaite Reservoir is nearby. The big Three Peaks - Whernside, Ingleborough, and Pen-y-Ghent - are about a 30-minute drive for a proper day's hike.
Harrogate is about 35 minutes by car if you want shops, Bettys Tea Rooms, or a day out of the dale.
Facilities wise: WiFi is included, bedding and towels are provided, there's bike storage, and you can bring one dog. Parking is on the street outside the cottage.
