Towford Farm Bungalow

Towford Farm Bungalow is exactly what it sounds like. It's a bungalow on our farm. It's detached and you're welcome to use the garden at the back. The view from there is the main thing. It looks out over our fields to the Cheviot hills. On a clear day, you can see right over into England.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. Two have single beds and the main one has a king size. The head of that bed lines up with the window, so you get the view first thing. There are two shower rooms. Both have walk-in showers.

Inside, it's all open plan. The wood burner is in the middle of the living and dining space. It heats the place up quickly. The kitchen has everything, and there's a separate utility room with the washing machine.

It's a working farm, so you'll see sheep or cattle in the fields sometimes. There will be farm noise during the day. If you're outside, you need to shut gates properly.

Jedburgh is about a quarter of an hour's drive. That's where the supermarkets are, and places to eat. For a day out, you can get to the Northumbrian coast in under an hour. Bamburgh Castle and the beaches there are good. National Trust Northumbria has information on that area.

Edinburgh is just over an hour by car if you want a city trip. Locally, you're close to the St. Cuthbert's Way and other walking routes. Visit Scottish Borders is a useful site for that.

The bungalow has parking right outside. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
