Hatchers Barn is near Shefford Woodlands. It's in the North Wessex Downs, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's a barn conversion.
It sleeps eight, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's a high standard. It's joined to Olivers Barn next door, which is basically the same. You can rent them together for a bigger group.
The barn looks out onto fields. There's a footpath right from the front door, so you can walk straight into the countryside. Cyclists like it around here too.
The place is all on one floor, which is good for accessibility. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner. The garden is enclosed, with picnic furniture and a barbecue. Parking is on site, and there's an electric vehicle charger.
Inside, it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
The facilities list says it's on a working farm. The local pub is a short drive away.
There's a lot to do within about half an hour. For walking, the North Wessex Downs site has maps. The National Trust looks after Avebury stone circle and Highclere Castle. There's racing at Newbury Racecourse and the Lambourn training grounds are nearby. You've also got Donnington Castle, the Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre, and Windsor isn't much further.
