Redroofs By The Woods

This is Redroofs By The Woods in Milldens, Angus. It's next to our house, but it's completely separate and private. The main outlook is over fields to Montreathmont Forest.

The house sleeps four, in two bedrooms. They both have an ensuite bathroom, so that's two bathrooms for you. There's a third loo downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's on one level inside, which is handy. The ceilings are high in the living room and there's a wood burner.

You should know the place has some history. The house was used as a military hospital in the First World War. The forest next door had a radio station for Bletchley Park in the Second World War. You can still see some of the old concrete blocks if you go looking.

The forest itself is good for walks. You might see deer. The local bird reserve is Balgavies Loch, which has a hide. If you're into golf, Carnoustie is about twenty minutes away.

For the coast, Montrose beach is about a twenty minute drive. It's a sandy beach. St Cyrus beach is a bit further, maybe half an hour.

You can get to Dundee or Aberdeen in under an hour by car. Perth is about the same. For local towns, Forfar and Kirriemuir have shops and things to do.

In terms of what's here: everything's included. Bedding, towels, electricity. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and TV. Parking is right outside. The garden is yours.
