Beech Cottage is in Hill Somersal, which is just outside Ashbourne in Derbyshire. It's semi-detached and quiet. The garden is a good size, completely enclosed, with a patio, some lawn, and a summer house. You can park two cars on the drive.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms upstairs: one king with an en-suite shower, one double, and one single. There's also a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Downstairs, there's a toilet and a utility room with a back door, which is handy for boots if you've been walking.
Inside, it's homely rather than showy. The sitting room has big sofas, a large Smart TV, and doors out to the garden. There's a separate dining room and a kitchen with a dining table in the bay window. The kitchen has everything you'd need, including a dishwasher and a washing machine. All bedding and towels are included.
The location is good for walkers. You can start from the door. For a proper day out, the Peak District is right there. The Tissington Trail is very close for cycling or walking. Dovedale and its stepping stones are a short drive away. There's a pub that does food about a ten-minute drive from the cottage.
If you need more activities, Alton Towers is under ten miles away. Uttoxeter, about fifteen minutes by car, has a racecourse, a cinema, and bowling. There's clay pigeon shooting at Doveridge, which is ten minutes away. Several golf courses are within a twenty-minute drive.
For local history, the National Trust has a few places nearby. National Trust Peak District has information on the area. Sudbury Hall and Calke Abbey are both close.
No pets, I'm afraid.
