This is Am Bruadar, in Dalmally. It sleeps eight, five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's a four-star place, which is accurate. It's comfortable and well-equipped.
The house is detached with an enclosed garden at the back. There's a ramp to the front door and wider internal doors, so the ground floor is accessible. Downstairs there's a double and a single bedroom, both with access to a shower room. The main living area is open plan.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a super king bed, an en-suite, and a balcony looking towards Ben Cruachan. There are two more bedrooms up there and a family bathroom with a deep bath.
There's a single railway track at the bottom of the garden. It's the Oban to Glasgow line. A few two-carriage trains go through each day, they move slowly. It's fenced off completely from the garden. You notice it, but it's not disruptive.
Dalmally village is a couple of minutes away by car. There's a shop, a post office, a golf course, and the train station. Loch Awe village is about five minutes in the other direction. It has a hotel, an inn, and a store.
You're well placed for the hills. Ben Cruachan is right there. Glen Orchy is beautiful for a drive or a walk. For local attractions, Kilchurn Castle on Loch Awe is spectacular, and the Cruachan Power Station visitor centre is interesting. The area is full of historic sites.
Oban is about half an hour's drive. That's where you'll find larger supermarkets, the ferry terminal, and more shops and restaurants. Inveraray, with its castle, is the same distance in the other direction.
Facilities: parking for a few cars, WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher, woodburning stove. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if needed. No pets.
