Lochside House is in Stronachlachar, on the banks of Loch Katrine. It's part of a larger building but completely separate. You'd have the right-hand side of the house you see in the picture, with your own front door. It's quiet here. Very quiet.
It sleeps ten people in five bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, two of which are en-suite. The main living room is big and the views across the loch are the main feature. Most of the bedrooms look out over the water too.
It's a Four Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's parking right outside. The garden is enclosed. You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. Bedding and towels are included. We can take one well-behaved dog.
Just along from the house is Stronachlachar Pier. A small passenger boat calls here daily from Trossachs Pier. There's a little café at the pier which does good coffee and light lunches. It’s a nice short walk.
You're in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, so walking and cycling are right on the doorstep. You can bring your own paddleboard or bike. The nearest proper town is Aberfoyle, about a twenty-five minute drive. It has shops, a supermarket, and some places to eat. Go Ape is just outside the town.
If you've got a bigger group, you can also book the Lochside Apartment next door, which connects through an internal door. That would sleep up to sixteen altogether.
