Chestnut Grange is a big house near Barrow in Suffolk. It's a detached place, not overlooked, with a decent garden. Inside it's spacious and well looked after, like you'd expect for a 5 Star rating. It sleeps ten, so it's good for a family or two families sharing.
There are five bedrooms, four bathrooms. Most of the bathrooms are en-suite to the bedrooms, which helps when there are a lot of you. Downstairs is mostly open plan, with a kitchen that has everything you need, a dining area, and a living room. There's also a separate games room with a pool table and a football table. Outside, there's a hot tub on the patio.
The house is wheelchair friendly on the ground floor. There's a bedroom and a wet room downstairs, and the doors are wide enough for a chair. The garden is enclosed.
Barrow village is a few minutes walk away. There are two pubs and a couple of shops. For other practical things, Bury St Edmunds is about fifteen minutes by car. It has supermarkets, a cinema, and the Abbey Gardens.
If you want days out, you're in a good spot. Ickworth Park and Anglesey Abbey are both National Trust places nearby. Cambridge is about forty minutes west, famous for the colleges and punting. The Suffolk coast at Southwold or Aldeburgh is within an hour's drive. For history, Lavenham is a very well preserved medieval village.
For the facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and parking for several cars. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
