This is The Byre. It's near Lumsden in Aberdeenshire. The village has a shop and a garage, and a big playpark for kids.
The cottage is all on one level, no steps anywhere. It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms, each with its own shower room. The main bedroom has a wet room with grab handles and a shower seat. All the beds can be split into singles if you need them to.
The living area is open plan. Big table, sofas. The kitchen has what you'd need. It's got underfloor heating you can control in each room, and a wood burner for colder nights. There's a TV.
Outside there's a patio and a lawn. You're on a working farm, so there are fields with animals around. We can take one well-behaved dog, but it has to be on a lead outside because of the livestock.
There's a separate drying room with a washer and dryer, which is handy for walking gear or bikes. Parking is right there, with an electric car charger.
For things to do, the village has a sculpture trail. There's local fishing. Visit Aberdeenshire has good information. The Cairngorms National Park is about a 30-minute drive away for hill walking. Royal Deeside, with castles like Balmoral, is within easy reach too.
You get bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No Wi-Fi, but there is internet access.
The Byre can be rented with the place next door, The Stables, if you've got a bigger group.
