Leofric Lodge
Leofric Lodge is in Bampton, on the edge of the village. It's a two bedroom place, sleeps four. It's got a 4 Star rating. The space is good, very light. You've got your own courtyard garden at the front.
There are two bathrooms, which is handy. One is on the ground floor opposite the main bedroom. The other is upstairs with the twin room. The stairs are fine.
The living area is open plan. Patio doors open onto a private terrace at the back, overlooking our garden. It's a quiet spot for a coffee.
Bampton is a five minute walk. It's the village they used for some of the Downton Abbey filming. There's a shop, a couple of pubs. The bus to Witney and Oxford stops just outside the property, which is useful.
Oxford is about a 25 minute drive. You can use the park and ride. The Cotswolds are close. Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water are all within half an hour.
For walks, the River Thames is two and a half miles away. Chimney Meadow Nature Reserve is just over two miles. If you're driving further, the Cotswold Line runs through the village for train trips.
The facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, parking. Bedding and towels are included. The entrance is wheelchair accessible. Sorry, no pets.
