The Plough Bampton

The Plough is in Bampton, Oxfordshire. It's a terraced cottage, so you've got neighbours on one side, but it used to be a pub which I think is interesting. The main thing for me is the garden. It's a proper size, enclosed, and gets the sun. You can sit out there.

It sleeps five, across three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not high-end. It's got a woodburning stove, which is nice in the winter.

The village centre is about a five minute walk. Bampton's got four pubs, a decent shop, a café, and the rest. You might have seen it on Downton Abbey, they filmed a lot here. The Morris dancers are about in summer, especially around Spring Bank Holiday.

From here, the River Thames is about two and a half miles away if you fancy a walk by the water. For a proper day out, Oxford is about eighteen miles. You can see the colleges, go punting, that sort of thing. The Cotswold towns like Burford and Bourton-on-the-Water are within half an hour's drive.

In the cottage, you've got a washing machine, WiFi, TV, a BBQ for the garden. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
