Burnside Cottage

Burnside Cottage is in Bruichladdich on Islay. It's a semi-detached cottage in a quiet part of the village, with fields on one side. The ferry ports are about a 20 minute drive away.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One has a kingsize bed. The other can be a super kingsize or two singles. There's one bathroom downstairs. It has a big corner bath and a separate shower cubicle. The stairs are standard cottage stairs. The living area is open plan. There's a woodburning stove. The WiFi works fine.

You have a small enclosed garden at the back with seating. It gets the sun. There's a porch for boots and coats. Parking is on site.

Bruichladdich has a shop and the distillery, obviously. The beach is a few minutes walk. Port Charlotte is two miles down the road for more shops and a hotel. There's a coastal path you can walk between the two villages now.

Bowmore, the main town, is ten minutes drive. They've got a swimming pool and more shops. Islay has nine distilleries in total. The golf at Machrie is about half an hour away. If you want to go over to Jura, the ferry leaves from Port Askaig.

The cottage was renovated in 2022. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean, comfortable, and everything works. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate. You can bring up to two dogs.
