Ashley Cottage is in Bowmore. It's a one bed cottage for two people. You get the whole place and the garden. The garden is south facing so it gets the sun.
It's a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's been renovated recently so it's in decent shape. The kitchen is small, but it has what you need.
The main thing is the sun room. It’s off the living room and leads straight into the garden. It’s a good spot to sit, even if it’s a bit breezy outside.
Bowmore itself is handy. You’re on a quiet back street but the shops and the distillery are a two minute walk. There’s a good pub that does food a bit further down. The Round Church is worth a look.
The island is bigger than people think. Port Ellen and Port Askaig are both about a twenty minute drive. If you want to go over to Jura, the ferry leaves from Port Askaig.
For golf, the Machrie links are about ten minutes away by car. The beach there is very long. If you’re here for the whisky, you’re in the right place. The Bowmore distillery is basically on your doorstep.
The cottage has parking. WiFi is included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
