Symond House Stowlangtoft

Symond House is in Stowlangtoft, Suffolk. It's part of the old Stowlangtoft Hall Courtyard, which they've done up. The estate has a lot of land around it, woods and parkland.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything inside is new, from 2022. The layout is a bit different because it's on three floors. You come in on the ground floor to the living room and kitchen. The main bedroom and bathroom are up one flight of stairs. The twin room is up another flight, at the top.

The living room doors open straight out onto the shared courtyard. It's a nice spot to sit out in the evening. There's a wood burning stove in the living room for cooler nights.

Wyken Vineyards is about a mile and a half down the road. They have a shop, a café, and a farmers market on Saturdays. You can walk there through the estate if you fancy it.

Bury St Edmunds is the nearest proper town, about a 15 minute drive. The Abbey Gardens are good for a wander, and there's a playground. Lavenham is further, maybe 35 minutes by car. It's all old timber-framed buildings, quite famous for it.

In terms of what's here: WiFi, a smart TV, dishwasher, washing machine. All the bedding and towels are provided. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the bedrooms are upstairs so that's something to be aware of. You can bring up to two dogs.
