2 The Calf Pens
This is 2 The Calf Pens, up in Loxley. It's on a working farm. We converted an old barn. It sleeps four, in two double bedrooms. There's one bathroom upstairs.
It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well equipped. You've got a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
The living room leads out to a little stone patio. The dining area has another door to a different bit of seating. It's handy if you want morning sun or afternoon shade.
You're on a farm, so you'll see sheep and maybe some tractors. It's quiet, but you can hear farm noises. That's just how it is.
The local pub is about a ten minute walk. It does food. You can get good walks from the doorstep without using the car, following the river.
Sheffield city centre is about twenty minutes in the car. It's a proper city with shops and the Crucible theatre. The Peak District National Park starts just a few miles west. You can be in Hope Valley or out towards Ladybower Reservoir in under half an hour.
