The Stables is in Ardtun, on the Ross of Mull. It's a crofting area, very quiet. You'll see deer around. The cottage is semi-detached, part of a pair with The Bothy next door.
It's a former stable, sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one twin. One bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, not a show home. The stairs are typical cottage stairs, a bit steeper than modern ones.
You're right by the water. It's a short walk down to the shore of Loch na Làthaich. You can sit and watch for otters or seabirds from the window. The views are good, looking out over the water towards Bunessan.
The signal here is patchy. There's no Wi-Fi installed, but you can usually get a 4G mobile signal if you need it.
Bunessan is about a five minute drive. They've got a village shop with a post office, and a hotel with a bar. For the ferry to Iona, you go to Fionnphort, which is about five miles. The beaches at Uisken and Ardlanish are a short drive away and they're very good.
For facilities, you've got a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a stairgate if needed. Parking is on site. No pets.
If you're planning trips, the VisitScotland page for Mull is useful, and the ferry operator is CalMac.
