The Bothy is in Ardtun, on Mull. It's a one bedroom place for two people. It used to be an outbuilding for the stables next door, which is now the other cottage. It's been done up simply.
You have one main room with a kitchen area and seating, and then a door to the bedroom. There's a shower room too, but no separate bath. It's all on the ground floor. The doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair, but the shower isn't a wet room, so check if that works for you.
There's a small garden and patio area that's just for you. You look out over the fields towards Loch na Làthaich. It's quiet. The mobile signal is very patchy here. There's no landline Wi-Fi, but you might get 4G on some networks if you need it.
It's a short walk, maybe five minutes, down to the shore. You'll often see seabirds and sometimes seals. Deer are around a lot. If you're lucky, you might spot an otter or an eagle.
Bunessan village is about a five minute drive. It has a shop with a post office and a hotel with a bar. For a proper beach, Uisken or Ardlanish Bay are a short drive away and they're very good.
Fionnphort is about five miles. That's where you get the small ferry over to Iona. It's a ten minute crossing. The abbey and the heritage centre there are worth the trip.
The main ferry port at Craignure is about 45 minutes drive from here, through Glen More. It's a very scenic road.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, a TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. A cot is available. No pets.
