The Coach House
The Coach House is part of the old steading on the Harburn Estate. It's semi-detached. Sleeps eight, but that's with using the double sofa bed in the living room. There are three proper bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which is handy.
It's a 4 Star place. It's warm and comfortable, not posh. The main room is big and open plan with a kitchen at one end. There's a wood burner and a TV with Sky.
The real point is the outside. You're on a private estate. You can walk out the door straight into the gardens and woods. There are lochs on the property. It's quiet.
There's a golf club and bistro about a mile down the road. The food is good. The nearest proper shop is seven miles away in West Calder, so you'll want to bring supplies.
You're well placed for getting about. Livingston is about 15 minutes by car for supermarkets or the cinema. Edinburgh and Glasgow are both under an hour's drive. The train from West Calder gets you into Edinburgh city centre in about half an hour.
Stirling, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs are all about an hour north if you fancy a day in the hills.
In terms of stuff here: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. The entrance and one bedroom are wheelchair accessible. No pets.
