Old Alton Hall Farmhouse

Old Alton Hall Farmhouse is ours. It's here in Holbrook, Suffolk. It's a detached place, a proper old farmhouse.

It sleeps ten. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's got everything you need and it's well kept.

You're right next to Alton Water, it's a few minutes' walk. It's a big reservoir, over 400 acres. Good for walking or cycling round. There's a visitor centre there if you fancy watersports, and they've got a play area, mini golf and a cafe. You can find out more at Alton Water Park.

We allow two dogs. There are dog beds here, and we built an outdoor kennel with a covered bit so they can be left comfortably if you need to pop out.

The garden is enclosed, so it's secure for kids or dogs. There's a patio and a BBQ. We've got a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.

A shop and a pub are about a mile and a half away. Ipswich is the nearest proper town, about six miles. It's got the history and the shops. The coast is about thirteen miles off if you want a beach day.

For facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. We've got a cot, highchair and stairgate if you need them. The entrance is level and wheelchair accessible.

If you're planning trips, the National Trust in Suffolk site is useful. So is Visit Suffolk.
