This is the Sparrow. It's one of a pair of cottages converted from old farm buildings on our working farm here in Lower Drayton. Everything's on one level, which makes it easy. There are floor-to-ceiling windows in the main room, so it's very light.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating. There's underfloor heating throughout, so it's warm. You have your own enclosed garden with a patio.
You're on a 600-acre farm. It's quiet. During school holidays we sometimes have things like lamb feeding. You'll see animals about.
You're a mile from the M6 junction, so getting here and heading out is straightforward. Penkridge is five minutes away by car. It's a market town with a few pubs, places to eat, and shops. Stafford is about fifteen minutes away if you need bigger supermarkets or a cinema.
For a day out, the Peak District is maybe 45 minutes. Alton Towers is under an hour. If you like walking, Cannock Chase is closer, about a 20-minute drive.
In terms of what's here: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. The property is wheelchair accessible. We can take up to two dogs. There's also an electric vehicle charger.
