Sparrow is on our farm in Lower Drayton. It's one of two cottages converted from old farm buildings. Everything is on one level. It's all open plan inside, so it feels bright, especially with the big windows. There's underfloor heating throughout, so even in winter it's warm.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. One bathroom has a walk-in shower. The rating is 4 Star. It's clean and comfortable.
You've got your own garden. It's enclosed, so it's secure. There's parking right outside and we have an electric vehicle charger.
We're a working farm, so there are animals around. During school holidays we sometimes have things like lamb feeding. You're welcome to have a look at the animals, if that's your thing.
It's quiet here, but not remote. You can hear the M6 sometimes, as we're about a mile from it. That does make it easy to get to other places. Penkridge is five minutes away by car. It's a small market town with a few shops, pubs, and takeaways. Stafford is about fifteen minutes away if you need a big supermarket or a cinema.
For a day out, you can get to the Peak District National Park in under an hour. Alton Towers is about 45 minutes' drive. If you're interested in local history, Boscobel House is nearby, or there's Shugborough Estate.
The cottage has WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
