Mark Farmhouse is out near Tillingham in Essex. It's a detached house, built in the early 1900s with wooden weatherboarding. It's on a working organic farm, so it's quiet. You look out over fields.
It sleeps nine people in four bedrooms. Two bathrooms, one's a shower room downstairs which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. The rooms are a good size, with wooden floors and the original fireplaces, though they're not in use. The main living room is big, with a separate snug/TV room next door. The kitchen has a breakfast bar. There's a utility room with a step down to it, useful for boots and wet dogs.
The garden is enclosed. There's parking and an electric car charger. All the basics are here: Wi-Fi, washing machine, dishwasher, cot, highchair. Bedding and towels are included.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a dog-friendly beach about three miles away. The nearest shop and pub are a mile down the lane. A restaurant is about three miles.
For days out, you're not far from some of the Essex coastal marshes and villages like Bradwell-on-Sea. Chelmsford is about a thirty minute drive for bigger shops. If you're interested in history, the English Heritage site list is useful, and Visit Essex has good local information.
