Mark Farmhouse
Mark Farmhouse is near Tillingham in Essex. It's a detached house, big and white with a weatherboard front. It's on an organic working farm. You get a fair bit of space and it's quiet.
It sleeps nine in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower downstairs which is useful. One bedroom has a kingsize bed and looks out over the fields. Two rooms have beds you can zip and link to be twins or doubles. There's a kids' room with a single bed and a cot in it too.
Downstairs, there's a large living room and a smaller snug room next to it. You can shut the door between them, which is good if some people want to watch something different. The dining room is off the living room. The kitchen has a breakfast bar. There's a utility room for boots and washing things. The garden is enclosed.
You're about two miles from the beach at Bradwell. It's dog friendly. The local shop and pub are a mile away. There's a restaurant about three miles off.
For days out, you're not far from Maldon and the Blackwater Estuary. Mersea Island is about a half hour drive. Colchester is within 40 minutes if you want the castle or shopping. The Essex Coast National Nature Reserves are worth a look for walking.
Facilities: it's got a 4 Star rating. There's WiFi, TV, a dishwasher, washing machine, parking on site, and an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs.
