Rainbows End is in Ramsey Island on the River Blackwater. It's a detached house. The living space is upstairs, which they call an 'upside down' layout. That means you get the view from the main room. It looks out over the water.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms, both downstairs. One bathroom, also downstairs, with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern and clean.
The garden is enclosed. There's parking right there.
You're about fifty yards from the river bank. There's a pub and a shop about half a mile up the road. The coastal path is right there for walking.
Maldon is a few miles away. It's an old town. You can see the Thames sailing barges at the Hythe. Promenade Park is there too, with a playground and a splash park if you've got kids.
Burnham-on-Crouch is about five miles. It's a sailing town on the River Crouch. There are pubs and restaurants along the quay. They have a small cinema.
For days out, Stow Maries Aerodrome is about ten miles. It's a World War One airfield. The English Heritage site has information on other local history. The Visit Essex site is useful for planning.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
