Fir Tree Cottage Chatcull

Fir Tree Cottage is in Chatcull, which is a small hamlet near Eccleshall in Staffordshire. It's one of a pair of semi-detached cottages. You get your own garden, which is a good size and mostly lawn. There's a conservatory overlooking it.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean. The conversion was done well. It's a rural property, so you're looking at fields and country lanes.

There's a pub in Croxton, about a mile and a half away. Eccleshall, two and a half miles, has shops and some good restaurants. The owners live half a mile away and you can arrange to use their tennis court or go fishing there if you ask beforehand.

For days out, you're on the edge of the Peak District. It's about a 30 minute drive to the southern parts. Shrewsbury is within half an hour, and Ironbridge is a bit further. Alton Towers is also within about half an hour if that's your sort of thing.

Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The facilities include a dishwasher, washing machine, and parking on site. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You're welcome to bring one well-behaved dog.
