Peacock Barn Martin

Peacock Barn is in Martin, which is part of Timberland village in Lincolnshire. It's a detached brick barn conversion. It looks out over the lawns and the fishing lake behind it. The place is quiet.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, so that helps with the morning queue. The bedrooms are all upstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable, with good quality fittings.

There's a pub just under a mile away, a 15 or 20 minute walk. The local roads are flat and very good for cycling. There's a cycle route along the old 'water railway' about five miles from here. It goes to Woodhall Spa, Lincoln, Tattershall and Boston.

Woodhall Spa is about six or seven miles away. It's got that 'Kinema in the Woods', which is a unique cinema. There's an outdoor swimming lido, tennis courts and a very good golf course.

Lincoln is 15 miles away, so a 25 minute drive. You've got the cathedral and the castle up on the hill. Horncastle is closer, they have a lot of antique and vintage shops. Coningsby is where they keep the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight planes if that's of interest.

Beaches like Skegness are about 35 miles east, so just under an hour's drive.

For facilities: there's a woodburning stove in the living room, but we supply a starter pack of logs. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. The garden is enclosed. There's off-road parking. WiFi works. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
