The Garden Room is a ground-floor flat attached to our farmhouse. It's on a working farm, so you'll hear the usual farm noises during the day. You look out over the fields from your patio.
It's for two people. One bedroom with a bathroom attached. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's all open-plan except the bedroom.
You have your own bit of garden with a table and chairs. It's a good spot when the sun's out.
You're about six miles north of Oxford. If you drive in, the park and ride is the easiest way. You can spend a whole day just walking around the university colleges. Punting is on the river Cherwell or the Isis.
Woodstock and Blenheim Palace are about nine miles away. Bicester Village shopping outlet is eight miles. For a walk locally, Otmoor nature reserve is close. There are footpaths from the farm gate, so you can walk straight out with the dog without driving.
The farm shop at Rectory Farm in Stanton St John is three miles away. They do coffee, a pick your own, and sell local bread and veg. There are pubs in Islip, Beckley, and Stanton St John, all within a fifteen minute drive.
We allow one dog. We leave out a blanket, a towel, and some bowls. Please clean up after them in the garden.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, wifi, parking right outside, and bike storage if you need it. Bedding and towels are included.
