The Garden Room is on our working farm in Woodeaton. It's a ground-floor annexe attached to the main farmhouse, but it's completely private. It's for two people.
It's a 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's open plan, so the living area, kitchen and bedroom are all in one space. The bed is a double. The bathroom is en-suite with a shower. It looks out onto your own bit of garden, which gets the sun in the afternoon.
You're on a farm, so you'll hear farm sounds. Tractors in the morning, sometimes sheep. There are footpaths straight from the property, so you can walk without driving. Your dog is welcome. We leave out bowls and a towel for muddy paws.
The city centre is about six miles away. You can drive in, but parking is expensive. The park and ride at Thornhill is easier, it's about a 15 minute drive from here. The universities and the river are there, obviously. Punts and all that.
For local things, there's a good farm shop at Rectory Farm in Stanton St John, about three miles. They do coffee and PYO in season. There are pubs in Islip, Beckley and Stanton St John, all within ten minutes by car.
If you want a day out, Blenheim Palace in Woodstock is under half an hour's drive. Bicester Village is about twenty minutes the other way. Otmoor nature reserve is close for birdwatching.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We've got space to store bikes if you bring them.
