Evie Rose Cottage

Evie Rose Cottage is our old stable block, converted. It's semi-detached with our house, but you've got your own space and a private garden. It's on our six acres, so you're surrounded by paddocks and a bit of woodland.

It sleeps two. One bedroom, with an en-suite shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. Everything’s on the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about.

We're in Elsenham. There's a shop, a pub, and a takeaway about a mile away. The pub does food. Stansted village is three miles for more shops and places to eat.

The cottage is two miles from Stansted Airport, which is handy. The train station is about a mile and a half away. You can be in Cambridge in half an hour or London in about 45 minutes.

Right next door, there's a new driving range and a 9-hole golf course. It's floodlit, so you can use it in the evenings. They've got an adventure golf course, a clubhouse with a bar and restaurant, and a gym. You get guest access.

For things to do, Audley End House is nearby. Hatfield Forest is National Trust and good for a walk. There's also Stansted Mountfitchet Castle, which is more of a toy museum really. Pretty villages like Thaxted and Finchingfield are a short drive away.

As for facilities: there's a wood burner, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You're welcome to bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.

Useful links if you're planning: English Heritage for the castle, and National Trust Hatfield Forest.
