The Stables
The Stables is in Laneham, a small village next to the River Trent. It used to be a stable block, but it's been converted into a cottage now. It's detached, so no neighbours attached to the walls.
It sleeps three people. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a step down into the living area from the hallway, just so you know.
The garden at the back is enclosed, with a patio area. It's a quiet spot, good for sitting outside. The village pub is about a hundred yards away. They do food.
You can walk down to the riverbank from here. It's good for local walks and cycle routes. Fishing is available about a mile away if that's your thing. For a day out, Lincoln is about twenty minutes by car. The castle and cathedral are worth seeing. The Lincoln Castle website has details. Newark is also about twenty minutes the other way, good for the antiques fairs at the showground.
For facilities, there's a washing machine and a dishwasher. The TV is there, bedding is included, and there's parking on the drive. You can bring up to two dogs. If you need more space, you can book it together with the other cottage next door, The Croft.
