East Kilblean Cottage

East Kilblean Cottage is on our farm near Oldmeldrum in Aberdeenshire. It's detached, so you're on your own out there. The views are just fields, really. It's very quiet.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both have ensuite bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished and everything works. The kitchen, living and dining area is all one open plan room. There's a wood burner for colder nights.

You've got your own enclosed garden with a seating area and a barbecue. There's a firepit too. The garden looks out over the fields. You can walk around the farm tracks. It's a working farm, so you'll see tractors and livestock about.

Oldmeldrum is about ten minutes away by car. There's a decent supermarket there, a few shops, and some places to eat. For a bigger town, Inverurie is about twenty minutes drive. It has more of everything.

You're well placed for exploring. The Castle Trail is a big thing here. Fyvie Castle and Castle Fraser are both within half an hour. Bennachie is a good hill for walking, also about half an hour away. The coast, places like Cruden Bay and Fraserburgh, is about forty minutes to an hour's drive.

In terms of what's there: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. One well-behaved dog is welcome. The cottage can be booked with the one next door if you need space for more people.
